Cecilia Dapaah tells court she does not know how much each of her former housekeepers stole from her

Former Ghanaian Minister of Water and Sanitation, Cecilia Dapaah, testified in court on March 12, stating she couldn’t specify how much each of her former housemaids allegedly stole from her storage room ¹. This testimony came on the second day of her evidence in the ongoing trial.
During cross-examination by the lawyer representing one of the accused, Sarah, Dapaah faced intense questioning. Sarah became visibly emotional, interrupting the proceedings to confront Dapaah over jewelry boxes. Sarah claimed the boxes belonged to her, contradicting Dapaah’s ownership claims.
In her initial testimony on March 11, Dapaah alleged her former housemaids stole jewelry worth $53,000. Additionally, she claimed the accused individuals took $410,000, €300,000, and GHȼ350,000 (approximately $30,000) from her storage room.
