Toase SHS Headmaster Debunks Rumors About Students Being Asked to Bring Goats for Biology Practicals

Atwima Nwabiagya, Ashanti Region – The Headmaster of Toase Senior High School (Toase SHS), Mr. Joseph Britwum, has firmly denied reports circulating in the media that final-year science students have been asked to bring goats for biology practical examinations.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Adeamuoduro Kwabena Agyei, Mr. Britwum expressed his deep concern over what he described as a false and damaging report aired by a Kumasi-based radio station. He emphasized that Toase SHS has never required students to bring goats—or any live animals—for science practicals.

“This report is completely untrue. It’s unfortunate that such misinformation is being spread to tarnish the image of our school. We urge the general public to disregard this fake news.”

Also speaking on the matter was Mr. William Anim, the teacher accused in the report of instructing students to bring goats to school. He categorically denied the allegations, stating that Toase SHS does not use goats or sheep in its biology practical sessions.

“I have never asked any student to bring a goat or sheep for any practical. We follow the approved syllabus and use appropriate, standard materials for our science experiments.”

In addition, some students from Toase SHS voiced their opinions, confirming that they have never been asked to provide livestock for any academic work. They expressed disappointment in the media outlet for spreading falsehoods without proper verification.
