Bole District Chief Executive Abdulai Mahamud escaped serious injury in a road accident on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, while en route to Tamale for official duties.
The crash occurred at Galinzegu near Sankpagla in the Central Gonja District along the Yapei-Tamale Highway in the Savannah Region.
Savannah Regional Minister Salisu Be-Awuribe confirmed the incident via Facebook, stating that Mahamud is in stable condition and receiving medical care.
Details on the cause and extent of vehicle damage remain under investigation, with no other casualties reported.
