Six Suspects Arrested Over Two Major Warehouse Robberies in Tema

The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested six suspects in connection with two separate armed robberies at warehouses in the area, where large quantities of fertilizers and food products were stolen.

According to police, the first incident occurred on May 25, 2026, when armed men attacked a security guard at a fertilizer warehouse in Kpone and made away with 751 bags of 50kg Organic Fertilizers, valued at GH¢431,825.00.

In the second robbery on June 14, 2026, armed robbers overpowered security personnel at Mummy’s Recipe Warehouse in Tema Community One, carting away approximately 2,000 bags of Aaba Rice and other assorted food products.

Through intelligence-led operations and sustained investigations, police traced the stolen items and identified individuals allegedly linked to both robberies.

On June 16, 2026, coordinated operations led to the arrest of the following suspects: Akala Kudus, Shaibu Dauda, Abdul Rahman Moro, Giya Hudu, Razak Seidu, and Francis Ayinsabga.

During the operations, significant portions of the stolen goods were recovered, including 717 bags of Aaba Rice from the Mummy’s Recipe Warehouse theft and 600 bags of fertilizers from the Kpone incident. The recovered items have been secured as exhibits.

The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations. Police have appealed to the public for any additional information that could help trace other accomplices or recover remaining stolen items.
