The male suspect has been identified as Abdul Rahaman Zakaria. The identity of the female suspect has not been publicly disclosed.

According to the Ghana Police Service, the arrests are part of ongoing operations targeting online impersonation and other internet-related offences that mislead the public and damage reputations.

The suspects are currently in custody assisting with investigations as officers work to determine the full extent of the account’s activities, including any potential financial or reputational harm caused.

Police have cautioned the public to exercise vigilance when interacting with social media accounts claiming to belong to public figures. They urged users to verify identities through official or trusted channels before engaging, sending money or sharing personal information.
