Final Funeral Rites Announced for Openim-Asamankese Krontihene

The people of Openim-Asamankese are mourning the passing of their Krontihene, Baffour Osei Kwabena Okoh, affectionately known as “Old Jaguar.”
Family members, friends, traditional leaders and community members have been invited to join the final funeral rites to celebrate his life and legacy.
According to the funeral arrangement, activities will take place from May 15 to May 17, 2026, at the Methodist School Park in Asamankese.
The programme will include:
Laying in state
Burial service
Thanksgiving service
Tributes continue to pour in for the late chief, who is being remembered for his contribution to the community and the impact he made in the lives of many.
