Police Raid Suspected Brothel at Manso Watreso, One Arrested

The Ghana Police Service in the Ashanti South Region has arrested a suspected brothel operator following an intelligence-led raid at Manso Watreso.

Intelligence-Led Operation

According to the Ashanti South Regional Command, officers from the Manso Nkwanta Police carried out the operation on April 19, 2026, after receiving reports of alleged illegal activities at a facility within the community.

Suspect in Custody

The suspect, identified as Esther Egbuhama, a 28-year-old Nigerian national, is believed to be the owner of a facility known as “Mama Nice Lodge.”

She was arrested at the scene and is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.

Others on the Run

Police disclosed that while the main suspect was apprehended, several other individuals suspected to be involved in the operation managed to flee during the raid.

Police Warning

The Regional Command reiterated that operating a brothel is a criminal offence under Ghanaian law and assured the public that similar targeted operations will continue across the region.

The suspect has since been transferred to Manso Nkwanta as investigations continue, with possible prosecution expected in the coming days.
