Police Arrest Man for Spreading False News Against Okatakye Boakye Danquah Ababio I

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has arrested one Samuel Amadotor for allegedly publishing malicious false information targeting Okatakye Boakye Danquah Ababio I.

According to a police press release issued today, the arrest was made possible with technical assistance from the National Signals Bureau (NSB) following a formal complaint lodged by the victim.

During interrogation, Samuel Amadotor confessed to the offence and revealed that he was contracted and paid by a certain Chairman Michael Yeboah to circulate the false publication. Police have declared Chairman Michael Yeboah wanted and are actively pursuing him to assist in ongoing investigations.

The suspect remains in lawful custody and is scheduled to be arraigned before court tomorrow, Friday, 21st November 2025.

The Police have once again cautioned the public against the deliberate spread of falsehoods on social media and other platforms, warning that anyone caught engaging in acts that endanger public peace or damage reputations will face the full rigours of the law.
