The National Service Authority (NSA) has released PIN codes for 121,754 prospective National Service Personnel from accredited tertiary institutions across the country for the 2026/2027 National Service Year.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the Authority said the release of the PIN codes marks the commencement of the registration process for eligible graduates required to undertake national service in accordance with the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119).
According to the NSA, a total of 144,023 personnel were submitted by tertiary institutions. Of this number, 122,712 were approved, while 21,311 were rejected pending further identity verification. Out of those approved, 121,754 unique PIN codes have been created and released, with 958 still pending further verification.
The Authority said rigorous validation and verification processes were undertaken in collaboration with relevant regulatory institutions to ensure that only eligible graduates from accredited tertiary institutions are mobilised for national service.
It reminded tertiary institutions whose accreditation status remains unresolved to engage the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to regularise their status. The NSA said it will continue to process eligible graduates upon receipt of confirmation of accreditation from GTEC.
The online registration period commenced on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and closes on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Prospective National Service Personnel are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period to avoid delays in deployment.
Applicants are required to visit the Authority’s website to access and activate their PIN codes. A registration fee will be paid via Mobile Money across all networks before gaining access to the enrolment platform.
To strengthen the integrity and security of the process, the NSA has introduced facial biometric verification against Ghana Card records, verified GhanaPost GPS addresses, and real-time verification mechanisms.
As part of the President’s policy to integrate Basic Military Training into the National Service Programme, a selected number of prospective personnel will have the opportunity to participate in a pre-deployment military orientation programme. Participation will not affect their subsequent deployment to assigned user agencies.
Prospective personnel will also have the option to join the NSA Agriculture Deployment Programme, under which successful applicants will be deployed to designated agricultural project sites for the duration of their national service.
The National Service Authority said it remains committed to delivering an efficient, transparent and impactful National Service Programme in support of Ghana’s national development.
