NPP Flagbearer Hopeful Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum Pledges 100 Engineers per Constituency if Elected President

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, a flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pledged to assign 100 engineers to every constituency across the country should he be elected President of Ghana.
According to Dr. Adutwum, the proposal is aimed at accelerating infrastructure development, improving technical oversight, and creating employment opportunities for Ghanaian engineers. He noted that deploying skilled professionals at the constituency level would strengthen planning, execution, and maintenance of development projects nationwide.
He explained that the initiative would support key sectors such as roads, housing, sanitation, water systems, education, and energy, while ensuring that local development challenges are addressed with professional expertise.
Dr. Adutwum stressed that engineering-led development is critical to Ghana’s long-term growth, adding that decentralising technical capacity would help reduce project delays, improve quality standards, and promote accountability.
The NPP flagbearer hopeful said the policy forms part of his broader vision to modernise Ghana’s infrastructure, empower local communities, and position the country on a path of sustainable and inclusive development.
