The weekend fixtures, which began on Saturday and concluded on Sunday, also saw defending champions Medeama SC drop points against Vision FC in Tema.
Medeama held by Vision FC
Vision FC secured a 1-1 draw against Medeama at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
Naziru Alhassan Nyeney gave the home side an eighth-minute lead before Kingsley Braye restored parity two minutes after the restart.
At the Kpando Sports Stadium, Heart of Lions and Swedru All Blacks played out a goalless draw.
Hearts frustrated by Bechem United
Hearts of Oak were unable to find a breakthrough against Bechem United, with the two sides settling for a 0-0 draw at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday.
Late drama in Dormaa
Aduana FC secured one of the weekend’s dramatic victories after beating Karela United 2-1 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
Stephen Amankona opened the scoring for Aduana before Nyaba Iddi Mahfuz equalised for Karela after the break.
However, Shawkan Mohammed struck deep into stoppage time to snatch all three points for the home side.
Debibi United record biggest home win
Debibi United recorded the weekend’s biggest home victory, defeating Young Apostles 3-0.
Kwadwo Obeng Junior scored twice in the first half before Ibrahim Alhassan completed the victory.
At the AAK II Park, Basake Holy Stars edged FC AshantiGold 1-0, with Hudson Joseph scoring the decisive goal in the first half.
Gold Stars complete dramatic comeback
Bibiani Gold Stars produced one of the most dramatic comebacks of the round, defeating Dreams FC 3-2 at the Tuba Astro Turf.
Abdul Razak Salifu put Dreams FC ahead early before Michael Nkoah levelled for Gold Stars.
Mohammad Shaban restored Dreams’ advantage, but Evans Adomako equalised in the 81st minute.
Bernard Kesse then completed the comeback with a stoppage-time winner.
Port City maintain unbeaten start
Debutants Port City FC continued their impressive start to life in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea at Nana Boamah Park.
Francis Gyetuah scored inside the opening two minutes to put Port City ahead.
Jamal Haruna later brought Chelsea level, but Gyetuah struck again late in the game to secure all three points for the debutants.
Kotoko held by Samartex
At the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Asante Kotoko were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against FC Samartex.
Emmanuel Mamah gave the Porcupine Warriors the lead after the break, but Christian Agyenim Boateng equalised with seven minutes remaining.
League table after Matchday Three
Following three rounds of matches, Hearts of Oak, FC Samartex, Basake Holy Stars and Asante Kotoko occupy the top four positions.
At the other end of the table, Heart of Lions, Medeama and Dreams FC are currently in the relegation zone.
