A serious road accident has occurred between Wiawso Asafo and Wiawso Boako on the Benchema Juaboso Main Road, claiming the life of a woman.
According to eyewitness drivers, the vehicle, a Voxy, hit a pothole on the road, somersaulted into the bush, struck a culvert and plunged into a stream.
The woman died instantly at the scene, while the driver and other passengers were rushed to the Asafo Government Hospital for treatment.
The incident has once again highlighted the poor state of roads in parts of the Western North Region.
