ECG Announces Planned Power Outage in Parts of Ashanti Region on Sunday

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will carry out planned maintenance works in parts of the Ashanti Region on Sunday, August 23, 2026, resulting in a temporary power outage.

According to a notice issued by the company, the maintenance exercise is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The works are aimed at improving service delivery.

Affected areas include Kronom Cement, Boussie, Asuofua, Heman, Amoaman, Adankwame, Adugyama, Nketiah, Kokote, Abira, Namong, Barekese Headworks, Akyease Booster Station, Offinso, KCG, Ahenkro, Kodie, Apagya, Aduamoah, Denase, Akom, Mowire, Amoako, Boamang, Tetrem, Afari, Seidi, Hiawu-Besease, Kontomire, Nnerebehi, Mankranso, Boatenkrom, Bonkwaso, Atwima Agogo, Mfensi, Kunsu, Sepaase, Nkawie, Mpasatia, Maakro, Abakomade, Tanoso, Pokukrom, Abuakwa, Kasapreko, Asonomaso, Atwima Koforidua, Tabre, Ntensere, 4BN, Owabi, Nyankyerenease, Akropong, Kwadaso, Kokoso, Ohwim, Amanfrom, Bohyen, Bantama, Abrepo, Bronikrom, Asuoyeboah, Bokankye, Esaase and surrounding communities.

ECG expressed regret for any inconvenience that may arise from the exercise.
