The arrests were conducted over the past week in multiple towns and communities, including Sefwi-Bodi, Asawinsos, Dadieso, Juaboso, Akontombra, Sefwi Debiso, Enchi, Sefwi Bekwai, Donyina and Bidiem.

According to the Police Service, the operations were aimed at strengthening security, maintaining law and order, and preventing criminal activities during the festive season, a period often associated with increased movement and heightened security risks.

The exercise saw an intensified police presence across the region, with officers targeting identified crime-prone areas through coordinated patrols and surveillance-based interventions.

The Police Service said the Christmas Special Operations form part of broader efforts to ensure public safety and protect lives and property before, during and after the holidays. Investigations into the suspects are ongoing, and those found culpable will be processed in accordance with the law.

Residents have been encouraged to continue cooperating with the police by providing timely information to support crime prevention and detection across the region
