Calm Restored at Akyem Oda After Violent Clash; Three Suspects Arrested

The Ghana Police Service says calm has been restored at Akyem Oda following a violent clash involving a group of young men armed with cutlasses at the New Station area.
According to a statement issued by the Eastern South Regional Police Command, officers responded after videos of the incident surfaced online showing the men attacking one another in public.
Police said two suspects were later traced to separate hospitals in the town while receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the confrontation.
One of the suspects, identified as 30-year-old George Okyere, was found at Oda Jubilee Hospital with a deep cut on his forehead and a severed finger on his right hand.
Another suspect, Paul Pascalele, was receiving treatment at Akyem Oda Government Hospital for a deep cut on his right hand.
Police also confirmed the arrest of a third suspect, Evans Adayele, who was reportedly picked up from his hideout to assist with investigations.
The command noted that efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest other individuals connected to the violence for prosecution.
