A young man in Assin Breku (Central Region) narrowly escaped serious injury after he was allegedly tied to a tricycle and dragged along a rough road by his girlfriend’s father.
According to eyewitness accounts, the father had repeatedly warned the young man to stay away from his daughter. On the day of the incident, he reportedly confronted the man, gave him an ultimatum to either face death or accept physical punishment, and then proceeded with the brutal act.
The victim was reportedly tied behind the tricycle and pulled over a bumpy, unpaved road for some distance before the ordeal ended.
His current condition remains unclear, with no official update yet on whether he sustained fractures, severe abrasions or other serious injuries.
As of the latest information, the Ghana Police Service has not publicly confirmed whether any arrest has been made or if a formal complaint has been lodged.
The incident has sparked widespread concern and condemnation on social media, with many describing it as an extreme and dangerous form of vigilante punishment.
