University of Cape Coast Extends Application Portal Deadline After 2026 WASSCE Results Release

The University of Cape Coast has informed all awaiting results applicants that its application portal remains open until Friday, September 11, 2026, following the release of the 2026 WASSCE results by the West African Examinations Council.

In an important notice dated September 6, 2026, and signed by the Director of Academic Affairs, Atta Yeboah-Sarpong, the university advised applicants to log into the application portal with their e-voucher details to confirm the accuracy of their full names, WASSCE index numbers and choice of programmes.

Applicants with existing results from November or December who did not use them for the application are advised to add them as a second sitting WAEC result.

New applicants are to select the appropriate application type. Those with 2026 WASSCE results under the Awaiting Results Application do not need to verify the results, as the university will verify them directly from WAEC. Candidates with 2025 or older WASSCE results must verify their results during the application process before submission.

Application for the following programmes closes on Friday, September 11, 2026: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Doctor of Optometry, Doctor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Midwifery, Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, Bachelor of Science in Diagnostics Medical Sonography, and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostics Imaging Technology.

Application for all other programmes closes on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Persons who applied earlier with existing WASSCE results are to check their admission status and print their admission letters.
