Two Employees Found Dead in Locked Car at Atonsu Agogo – Police Investigate

The bodies of two employees of Asomdwie Rubber Company, a Chinese-owned plastic processing firm, were discovered dead inside a parked vehicle at the company’s premises in Atonsu Agogo on Monday, November 24.
The deceased, identified as Baba, a senior staff member, and a female colleague who had joined the company less than two months ago, were found on the back seat of Baba’s car with tinted windows rolled up and doors locked.
Police were alerted after a foul smell emanated from the vehicle, which had been parked since Saturday night. Officers broke the windows to gain access and confirmed the deaths.
Preliminary observations:
The woman’s head was resting on Baba’s shoulder.
Baba was dressed in only a singlet and shorts.
The car engine was initially running when it arrived around 8 p.m. on Saturday but later shut off.
Both employees had attended a colleague’s wedding earlier that day. The female worker reported for her night shift but complained of illness and was allowed to leave early.
Personal details:
Baba married in August 2025; his wife is pregnant.
The female employee was preparing for her December 2025 wedding.
The bodies have been deposited at the morgue for autopsy. Police have launched a full investigation to determine the cause of death, with foul play not yet ruled out.
