TECHIMAN POLICE CONDUCT SWOOP AT CRIMINAL HIDEOUTS; 25 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

 

On Tuesday, 16th December 2025, at about 1800 hours, the Techiman District Police Command, led by Superintendent Charles Atuah, conducted a swoop at identified criminal hideouts (commonly referred to as ghettos) within the Techiman Municipality.

 

The operation was aimed at flushing out criminal gangs and illicit drug dealers operating within the municipality.

 

Arrests

 

A total of twenty-five (25) suspects were arrested at various locations as follows:

 

Abamu Area – 13 Suspects

 

1. Mubarack Alhassan – 26 years

 

 

2. Amoako Prosper – 28 years

 

 

3. Manarf Inusah – 19 years

 

 

4. Owusu Amos – 23 years

 

 

5. Suleman Mudasel – 18 years

 

 

6. Comfort Frimaa – 20 years

 

 

7. Samuel Nimoh – 22 years

 

 

8. Ridwan Mohammed – 21 years

(Five others arrested at Abamu)

 

 

 

Kenten Area – 6 Suspects

 

1. Amado Charles – 20 years

 

 

2. Kofi Alex – 20 years

 

 

3. Zongo Umar – 35 years

 

 

4. Sharif Yahaya – 18 years

 

 

5. Nurideen Abu – 25 years

 

 

6. Solomon Sheganyi – 18 years

 

 

 

Tako Area – 6 Suspects

 

1. Edmund Gyimah – 30 years

 

 

2. Nana Agyemang Eugen – 24 years

 

 

3. Boahen Stephen – 22 years

 

 

4. Frimpong James – 30 years

 

 

5. Dabou Naa Michael – 23 years

 

 

6. Tiwaa Hawa – 37 years

 

 

 

Exhibits Retrieved

 

During the operation, police retrieved:

 

Nineteen (19) wrappers of a whitish powder, suspected to be cocaine

 

Dried leaves concealed in a polythene bag, suspected to be Indian hemp

 

 

All exhibits have been retrieved and retained for further investigation.

 

Current Status

 

The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations. They will be processed and arraigned before court in due course
