Takoradi Technical University Denies Reports of Campus Unrest with Police

Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has firmly rejected media claims of disturbances on its campus involving students and the Ghana Police Service, calling the reports “false and misleading.”
In a press release issued on Thursday, September 18, Registrar Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory clarified that no unrest has occurred at TTU. The university emphasized that its campus remains peaceful, secure, and focused on teaching, learning, and research.
“TTU continues to uphold its enviable reputation as a peaceful centre of academic excellence and institutional integrity,” the statement read.
The university urged media outlets to verify information with its Directorate of Public Affairs before publishing to avoid spreading misinformation. TTU reassured students, staff, parents, and stakeholders that the campus is safe and conducive to academic and innovative pursuits.
