Chaos erupted at Obuasi Senior High Technical School after students accused the headmaster of burying a newborn baby on the school grounds.
The students reportedly assaulted the headmaster, Mr Zakaria, following the accusations, leaving him severely injured.
A source at the school, speaking to Wontumi News on Wednesday, said a student claimed he saw the headmaster at dawn on Monday, around 3:00 a.m., burying something at the school’s dumpsite.
According to the source, the students later went to the scene and discovered what they believe to be a newborn baby in the covered hole.
Following the allegations, the headmaster and some teachers went to the scene but were met by aggrieved students who attacked the headmaster.
Police have since taken over the school and have commenced investigations into the incident.
Authorities are yet to confirm the identity of the baby or release an official statement.
