NDC Opens Nominations for National Executive Elections on October 20

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will open nominations for its national executive elections on Tuesday, October 20, as part of the party’s 2026 internal electoral process.
According to the timetable released by the party, nominations will open at 7:00 a.m. on October 20 and close at 5:00 p.m. on October 21, with aspirants required to submit applications online through forms.ghanandc.com.
The timetable forms part of the NDC’s broader roadmap for its constituency, regional and national executive elections, which was approved by the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC).
Successful applicants will have 14 days to complete and secure endorsements on their nomination forms.
The party has scheduled the filing of nominations from Saturday, November 7, to Monday, November 9. During the period, completed nomination forms must be submitted online between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., while hard copies must also be lodged at the party’s national headquarters within the same hours.
Vetting of aspirants seeking national executive positions will take place from Thursday, November 12, to Friday, November 13, at the party’s national headquarters.
The NDC said the election timetable is intended to guide the various stages of its internal electoral process and urged aspirants, executives and members to adhere strictly to the timelines and procedures to ensure a smooth and credible election.
