The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has suspended his planned “Thank You Tour” of the North East Region following rising security concerns.
The decision comes after a recent attack on a military convoy in Bawku, with security agencies advising against the visit due to fears of escalating violence and potential risks to lives.
The tour, which was expected to cover several constituencies over two days, has been put on hold as authorities prioritise safety while monitoring the situation
