The Ghana Police Service has strongly denied online rumours that Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno is dead.
In a statement on X on Sunday, November 30, 2025, the Service said the claims are completely false.
They confirmed that Mr. Yohuno is alive, healthy, and doing his job as expected. The public is told to ignore the fake reports.
“We want to say clearly that these reports are false. The IGP is alive and well and going about his duties as expected. We urge officers, family, loved ones, and the public to disregard these reports,” the statement said.
The Police also warned people spreading the lies. They called it harmful and reckless.
Spreading false information is a crime, and those caught will face the law.
