“If You Want to Succeed as a Leader, Listen to Your People” – Hawa Koomson

The National Women Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson, has stressed that listening and inclusive dialogue remain the bedrock of successful leadership.
She made the statement when she appeared as a guest on the HB Morning Show on HomeBase TV in an exclusive “Upclose With” interview to discuss her political journey and leadership philosophy.
According to her, any leader who wants to succeed must create space for open discussions, tolerate divergent views and allow contributions from all quarters, noting that leaders must sometimes disagree to agree in order to build consensus.
The former Awutu Senya East MP, who served 12 years as a legislator and eight years as a Cabinet Minister, said that is the kind of inclusive leadership she is bringing to bear as NPP Women Organiser, while assuring supporters of her commitment to serve diligently.
