Hundreds of Police Officers Deployed to Ashanti Region for Secret Security Sweep

In a bold move to boost safety and keep the peace, Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohonu has sent hundreds of officers to the Ashanti Region for a top-secret security operation.
The large-scale effort is part of the Ghana Police Service’s push to ramp up presence in critical spots and ensure stability across the area.
Standing in for the IGP, Director-General of Technical Operations, COP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba, shared the news and said the mission will team up closely with the Ghana Armed Forces for top-notch results.
Dr. Gariba had a clear message for the officers: Stay professional, work as a team, and keep discipline front and center.
He stressed that sticking to the plan and staying coordinated is key to pulling this off without a hitch.
“We’re launching a special operation in the region,” he told them. “We’ll reveal locations step by step.
The IGP expects you to be professional, tough, and thorough—carry out your assignments exactly as briefed. Stick together in groups; no one goes solo.”
