Hajia4Reall’s Verdict Expected Today
After Delays and Appeals, Hajia4Reall to Receive Sentence Today
Mona Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Reall, is poised to hear her sentence today, June 28, 2024, following a series of delays and appeals in her case. The proceedings have garnered significant public and media interest, culminating in this pivotal moment as the court prepares to deliver its final verdict.
Montrage’s legal team, represented by Elena Fast and Michael Perkins of The Fast Law Firm, P.C., has advocated for a reduced three-month sentence, emphasizing Montrage’s acceptance of responsibility for her involvement.
According to DST Intel, Hajia4Reall has reaffirmed her guilty plea regarding her bank accounts’ involvement in receiving funds from illicit activities that concluded in 2019, emphasizing that this should not overshadow her present character.
However, the US Attorney’s Office has opposed calls for leniency, advocating instead for a 37-month sentence. Prosecutors have cited precedent and argued that a reduced sentence would undermine justice and fail to deter similar offenses in the future.
They assert that imposing the full-term sentence is crucial for maintaining fairness and upholding the legal system’s integrity. The impending court decision will hinge on the arguments presented by both sides.
Ms. Montrage, previously under scrutiny for her alleged role in a $2 million romance scam, now faces the prospect of a significant prison term.
