Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana Joins Italian Club Atalanta
Ghanaian football star Kamaldeen Sulemana has officially joined Italian team Atalanta. The quick winger signed a four-year contract, with a chance to stay for an extra year. This move was finalized after both Atalanta, who play in Italy’s top league (Serie A), and English Championship side Southampton agreed on the transfer. The deal is reported to be worth €17.5 million, with potential additional payments.
Sulemana, who is 23 years old, played 74 games for Southampton, scoring four goals and helping with seven assists during his time there.
At Atalanta, Kamaldeen will be reunited with his former coach, Ivan Juric. Under Juric, Kamaldeen played 30 games, scoring two goals and assisting three others. The Ghanaian player will be looking to perform well under Juric again in his new club when the new season begins.
He will also be playing alongside his fellow Black Stars teammate, Ibrahim Sulemana, who joined Atalanta last summer.
