Four Ada SHS Students Arrested Over Viral Cutlass Threat Video

Four students of Ada Senior High Technical School have been arrested after a viral video showed one student brandishing a cutlass and issuing threats against colleagues on campus.
According to a statement from the Ghana Police Service, the incident came to the attention of officers around 12:10 a.m. on May 22, 2026, prompting an immediate night patrol response to the school.
With the support of school authorities, police arrested Raymond Gyamfi, Oscar Amemoair, Odartey Wilson, and a juvenile, all identified in the circulating footage.
The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
The police command condemned the behaviour and urged students to resolve conflicts through established school disciplinary structures rather than resorting to violence or intimidation.
They also called on parents and school authorities to strengthen supervision and discipline in order to ensure safety on school campuses.
The statement added that investigations are ongoing and further updates will be communicated as appropriate.
