One person has died following a bee attack on supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kpandai District shortly after a campaign event on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
NDC Kpandai Constituency Secretary Mr. Robert confirmed the incident to Citi News, stating that the victim—a local chief—was riding a motorbike when a swarm of bees attacked him.
In panic, the chief dismounted and attempted to escape but was beaten to death amid the ensuing confusion.
Some residents have attributed the incident to spiritual causes, describing it as a curse, though authorities have yet to respond to these claims. Investigations are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.
