Bawumia Launches Nationwide Campaign Tour Starting October 15 to Rally Support for NPP Flagbearer Bid

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will kick off a comprehensive nationwide campaign tour on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, targeting all 276 constituencies to consolidate support ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries on January 31, 2026.
In a statement signed by Communications Director Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the tour will engage polling station executives, constituency officers, former MPs, MMDCEs, and party elders to discuss Bawumia’s vision for unity and victory in 2028.
The campaign emphasized issue-based discourse, cautioning supporters against personal attacks: “We must refrain from any form of derogatory remarks… Our focus must remain on promoting Dr. Bawumia’s vision, proven track record, and policy propositions.”
Bawumia, the NPP’s 2024 presidential candidate who drew the No. 3 ballot position on October 10, aims to leverage his experience in digital transformation and economic management to appeal to delegates.
Polls like Global Info Analytics show him leading with 57% support, ahead of Kennedy Agyapong at 29%.
