The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has attributed the party’s recent electoral success to strong grassroots mobilisation and growing support in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking during his “Thank You Tour” of the region, Mr. Asiedu Nketia emphasised that elections are won at the branch level, commending party members for their dedication and hard work.
He revealed that a strategic reorganisation of the region into five operational zones, with dedicated teams deployed across constituencies in Kumasi, played a crucial role in the party’s performance.
“For the first time in the history of Ashanti politics, we crossed the threshold,” he stated.
The NDC Chairman expressed appreciation to branch executives, regional leadership, and supporters for their contributions to what he described as a historic achievement for the party in the region.
He also urged members to recognise and reward hardworking individuals during the party’s ongoing branch reorganisation exercise.
According to him, retaining committed executives will be essential to sustaining the party’s momentum and ensuring continued success in future elections.
