On July 26, 2025, renowned Ghanaian disc jockey and radio presenter Andy Dosty firmly dismissed viral reports claiming the death of highlife music icon Daddy Lumba.
Speaking on his Daybreak Hitz show on Hitz FM, Dosty clarified that the 60-year-old musician, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, is alive and well, urging the public to disregard the false rumours.
“The legend lives, he’s still alive and not dead,” he stated, addressing the misinformation that spread across social media platforms like X.
Dosty also shared that Lumba is in good health, dispelling earlier speculations about his condition.
This marks the latest instance of the veteran artist facing unfounded death rumours, with similar claims previously debunked by his PRO, Philip Appiah Kubi (Roman Fada), in January 2020 and June 2025.
