Tomato farmers from Agogo have appealed for help following alleged seizures of their tomatoes when they transport their produce to Kumasi and Ejisu for sale.
The farmers appeared on Salt 95.9 FM’s Anopa Bosuo programme, hosted by Mr. Samuel Owiredu Acheampong, where they shared their concerns and appealed to the authorities to intervene.
They are calling on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to help address the situation and protect their livelihoods. According to the farmers, repeated seizures of their tomatoes are causing them significant financial losses after investing time and money into farming.
They are therefore appealing to the Asantehene and relevant authorities to investigate the matter and help find a lasting solution to the challenges they face.
