Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson is expected to present the 2027 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament on Thursday, November 12, 2026.
The announcement was made by Majority Leader James Agalga, who disclosed that the budget, titled “The New Economy,” will outline the government’s economic priorities and policy direction for the coming year.
Addressing Parliament, Mr Agalga urged sector ministries, independent constitutional bodies and state agencies to submit their budget estimates on time to allow for proper parliamentary scrutiny and approval.
He said the presentation would be made on behalf of the President in accordance with Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution.
The 2027 Budget is expected to outline the government’s revenue mobilisation strategies, expenditure plans and broader measures to manage the national economy.
Meanwhile, a post-budget workshop has been scheduled for November 15 to 17 at the Volta Serene Hotel.
The workshop is expected to bring together Members of Parliament and other key stakeholders to examine the budget, discuss its policy implications and engage with the principles underpinning the government’s economic proposals.
Mr Agalga urged all MPs to make themselves available and actively participate in the workshop to ensure meaningful discussions on the 2027 fiscal policy.
