Young Man’s Mutilated Body Found Dumped in Okrudu River

Residents of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality, Central Region, are reeling from a gruesome discovery—the body of a young man, believed to be in his early 30s, was found murdered and dumped in the Okrudu River.
The victim, described as fair in complexion, had several deep cutlass wounds all over his body, indicating a brutal attack before his body was left at the riverside.
His identity is still unknown, and police say it is not yet clear if he was involved in any criminal activity or what led to the killing.
Personnel from the local National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), led by Nash Nyande, worked with the area Assembly Member to recover the body and transport it to the Police Hospital Mortuary in Accra for preservation and autopsy.
NADMO officials report that no family member or friend has come forward to identify the deceased so far.
Police have launched a full investigation to uncover the circumstances of the murder and track down those responsible.
The community is urging anyone with information to contact the nearest police station to help bring justice for the victim.
