Two Men Arraigned Over Murder of Immigration Officer Stephen King Amoah

Two men, Bright Aweh and Thomas Ziggah, have been arraigned before the Kaneshie District Court in Accra in connection with the murder of Stephen King Amoah, an officer of the Ghana Immigration Service.

The badly burnt body of Amoah was discovered in July 2025 at Abuom Junction near Kwabenya, days after he had been reported missing. The gruesome discovery sparked an extensive police investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

The two suspects were brought before the court under heavy police escort and are facing charges including conspiracy to commit murder. Proceedings are ongoing as investigators continue to piece together evidence related to the case.

Authorities have indicated that further hearings are expected, while investigations continue to identify possible accomplices and establish the full sequence of events leading to the officer’s death.

The case has drawn public attention due to the violent nature of the crime and the victim’s role as a state security officer
