Two Killed, Several Injured in Bus Accident at Nkonya Bumbula

A fatal road accident at Nkonya Bumbula in the Biakoye District has claimed two lives and left several others injured after a passenger bus overturned.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service, the incident involved a 50-seater bus travelling from Accra to Salaga. The vehicle reportedly overturned after a suspected tyre burst while negotiating a curve at high speed.
The impact left several passengers trapped in the wreckage, triggering an emergency response.
Firefighters arrived swiftly at the scene, rescuing victims and providing immediate assistance before handing the injured over to the National Ambulance Service for transport to the Margaret Marquart Catholic Hospital for treatment.
Two persons were confirmed dead at the scene, while others sustained varying degrees of injury.
Personnel from the Fire Service later cleared the wreckage to restore the smooth flow of traffic, as authorities continue to assess the circumstances surrounding the accident
