Two Killed After Tipper Truck Overturns at Senchi

 

Two people have died following a fatal road accident involving a tipper truck at Senchi in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region.

 

The tragic incident occurred on Thursday, May 28, near the Senchi market area when a tipper truck with registration number GR 2135-22 reportedly overturned under circumstances that are yet to be determined.

 

A joint rescue team from the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and confirmed that the two occupants of the vehicle died instantly.

 

The crash caused heavy traffic congestion along the stretch for several hours as emergency personnel worked to clear the wreckage and manage the situation.

 

Police later restored normal vehicular movement after removing the damaged truck from the road.

 

Authorities have since launched investigations into the cause of the accident, while efforts continue to identify the deceased persons.

 

The bodies have been deposited at the morgue for preservation and further examination.
