Trotro Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Wall Near Akufo-Addo’s Nima Residence

On Wednesday evening, July 16, 2025, a commercial minibus (trotro) driver was arrested after crashing a green Sprinter bus into a fence wall near the private residence of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in Nima, Accra.
The incident, which caused significant damage to the wall and a nearby telephone pole, injured three passengers who were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses suspect the crash may have resulted from brake failure, though the exact cause remains under investigation.
