Three Suspects Arrested in Connection with Kwabenya Armed Robbery

The Ghana Police Service, through the National Operations Directorate (NOD) Surveillance Unit, has arrested three suspects linked to a violent robbery at a residence in Kwabenya, Greater Accra Region.

The incident occurred on 18 January 2026, when two armed robbers stormed the home and stole:

Two iPhone 17 Pro Max phones

One gold necklace

One Apple Watch

GH¢14,000 in cash

US$300

The victim’s car key

The robbers also forced the victim to log out of his iCloud account from one of the stolen phones.

The arrested suspects are:

Francis Amo (alias Agogo)

Anthony Boateng (alias Aisha Kojo)

Musah Ibrahim (alias Coded) — believed to be a receiver of stolen goods

All three have admitted their involvement during preliminary interrogation.

Items recovered so far include:

One iPhone 17 Pro Max

One Apple Watch

One Samsung Fold phone

A search conducted at suspect Anthony Boateng’s residence uncovered several offensive weapons, including:

One truncheon

One short machete

Knives

Scissors

Lighters

One face shield

The suspects remain in police custody assisting with investigations. Efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining stolen items and apprehend any other individuals connected to the crime.

The police have assured the public that the investigation is active and that all perpetrators will be brought to justice. They also renewed calls for residents to report suspicious activities and cooperate with security agencies to enhance community safety.
