Three Fathers Arrested in Kasoa for Alleged Sexual Abuse of Daughters

Police in Kasoa have detained three fathers accused of sexually abusing their own daughters, following a formal complaint lodged by the Awutu Senya East Municipal Education Directorate.

The victims confided in Girl-Child and Guidance and Counselling coordinators at their schools, prompting the directorate to alert authorities. All suspects were swiftly arrested and are assisting with investigations.

Education officials voiced alarm over persistent child rights violations in the municipality, advocating for enhanced collaboration among agencies to safeguard minors.

They also criticized the absence of a local Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) office in Awutu Senya East—despite nationwide coverage with 16 regional and 182 district branches—leaving victims with limited immediate recourse.
