A tragic stone blasting incident at Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central region has resulted in three deaths and thirty-six critically injured.
The blast was carried out by the contractor responsible for the Kasoa-Winneba road dualization project.
According to reports, the contractor was blasting a large rock at Buduburam when the explosion led to the fatalities and severe injuries.
In an interview, several outraged residents attributed the incident to the contractor’s negligence and incompetence, expressing frustration over the tragedy.
