Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has paid a courtesy visit to the Ashanti Regional Police Command as he brought his engagements in Kumasi to a close.
The musician visited the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters, where he met the Regional Police Commander, COP Arthur Osei-Akoto, during his stay in the Ashanti Regional capital.
The visit was the final stop on an itinerary that was adjusted following the cancellation of his planned concert at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
KNUST Concert Cancelled Over Security Concerns
Shatta Wale’s scheduled KNUST performance was cancelled amid security concerns and expectations of a large crowd.
Following the cancellation, the artiste and his team revised their programme and engaged in a number of other activities across Kumasi.
Despite the cancellation, Shatta Wale continued to attract significant public attention during his stay, with large crowds gathering at various locations to welcome him.
Shatta Wale Performs at Stamford Lounge
As part of his revised Kumasi engagements, the dancehall artiste performed at Stamford Lounge and Bar, where he delivered a high-energy performance for patrons.
He subsequently continued with his other scheduled activities before preparing to leave the city.
Videos from his departure showed the musician travelling out of Kumasi in luxury vehicles alongside members of his team.
Final Engagement at Police Headquarters
Shatta Wale’s final appearance in Kumasi was a more formal engagement at the Ashanti Regional Police Command, where he met with COP Arthur Osei-Akoto.
The courtesy visit brought his Kumasi itinerary to an end following several engagements in the city despite the cancellation of his highly anticipated KNUST concert.
