Sam George, Abena Osei-Asare Clash at PAC Over Telecom Service Delivery Concerns

A heated confrontation erupted at the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) sitting on Monday, May 18, after Communications Minister Samuel Nartey George blamed poor telecom services on weak policies and leadership under the previous Akufo-Addo administration.

The exchange intensified when PAC Chairperson Abena Osei-Asare interrupted the Minister and urged him to “go straight to the point,” prompting Sam George to accuse her of being unruly and attempting to derail his response.

Despite the tense moment, proceedings later resumed as discussions continued on challenges facing Ghana’s telecommunications sector, including poor network quality and consumer concerns.
