According to reports attributed to El Chiringuito and El Mundo, Valverde reportedly suffered a heavy blow during the incident and was later advised by doctors to rest for at least one week.
The reports claim the midfielder allegedly lost memory of some events after falling and hitting his head during the confrontation.
Additional claims suggest teammates found Valverde semi-conscious and bleeding after reportedly striking his forehead on a table.
