Raphinha continued his sensational start to the season with a brace as Barcelona produced another dominant attacking display to beat Feyenoord in the Champions League.
The Brazilian winger opened the scoring inside three minutes with a brilliant individual effort before adding his second shortly after the interval to further strengthen Barcelona’s grip on the match.
The goals took Raphinha’s tally to eight in five games, with the former Leeds United forward finding the net in every match he has played this season.
Raphinha Sets the Tone
Raphinha produced an outstanding piece of skill to beat two Feyenoord defenders before calmly slotting the ball home to give Barcelona an early advantage.
Feyenoord, managed by former Barcelona player Giovanni van Bronckhorst, had an opportunity to respond when Anis Hadj Moussa went down inside the Barcelona penalty area in the 20th minute, but his appeal for a penalty was waved away.
Barcelona quickly extended their lead through Karim Adeyemi, who curled a superb 20-yard effort into the top-right corner.
The summer signing from Borussia Dortmund celebrated the goal with his trademark backflip.
Barcelona Run Riot
Raphinha struck again in the 57th minute, making a well-timed run before firing across the goalkeeper to complete his second goal of the night.
It was his eighth goal of the campaign and the third time in five matches that he had scored twice.
Barcelona continued their attacking assault and added a fourth in the 77th minute when Lamine Yamal converted a free-kick.
However, the Catalan giants’ defensive record remained a concern as substitute Sem Steijn pulled one back for Feyenoord in the 82nd minute.
Gabriel Jesus Gets Off the Mark
Barcelona restored their four-goal advantage late in the game when Gabriel Jesus headed home to score his first goal for the club.
The Brazilian forward joined Barcelona from Arsenal earlier in the month and marked his arrival with a goal as his new side reached 22 goals in their last five matches.
Despite their attacking brilliance, Barcelona are still searching for their first Champions League clean sheet since April 2025.
