Highlife music legend, Obourba J.A. Adofo, has revealed that President John Dramani Mahama offered him consistent financial support after learning about his health challenges.
Speaking in an interview with broadcaster Ohemaa Woyeje, the veteran musician disclosed that although he has not been actively involved in politics, President Mahama showed personal concern for his wellbeing during a difficult period of his life.

The Ministry also assured the bereaved family of its full support during this difficult period, as the nation mourns the loss of two iconic figures in Ghana’s gospel music history.

According to J.A. Adofo, the former president began sending him money on a monthly basis through actor and politician, Mr. Beautiful, after hearing about his illness.
“I never personally told President Mahama that I was sick,” he explained. “He heard about it and decided on his own to support me.”
The highlife icon expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and compassionate support that helped him cope with his condition.
