Ghanaian musician Quamina MP has dismissed claims that Ghanaian artists are stingy, following Nigerian star Davido’s publicized $5,000 gift to Ananzo, a Ghanaian music promoter.
In an interview with Amansan Krakye on July 16, 2025, Quamina MP emphasized that Ghanaian musicians frequently support fans and the public with generous gestures but prefer to keep such acts private.
“Davido giving Ananzo $5,000 doesn’t mean Ghanaian artists are stingy,” he stated, adding that some may have given even more without publicizing it.
He noted that many Ghanaian artists likely support Ananzo behind the scenes for promoting their music, urging the public not to assume otherwise unless such acts are made public.
