The Ghana Police Service, through the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), has rescheduled the full implementation of the automated traffic law enforcement programme, TRAFFITECH-GH, from 1 October to 1 November 2026.
The rescheduling is to allow for a more extensive public awareness and education on the programme, including its operations, the traffic offences to be detected, and the Electronic Notices of Violation (ENV) to be issued to offending motorists.
TRAFFITECH-GH forms part of efforts by the Service to address indiscipline on Ghana’s roads and improve compliance with road traffic laws and regulations.
The Ghana Police Service therefore urges motorists, drivers and vehicle owners to take advantage of the additional period to familiarise themselves with the programme ahead of the rollout.
The Service is grateful to the media for the unflinching support throughout the introduction of the project, and remains committed to working with all other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of TRAFFITECH-GH for improved road safety.
